Germantown
Overview
Germantown is a neighborhood in Philadelphia with a growing population of seniors, single-mothers, and multigenerational families. We were challenged to design a mixed-use (residential and commercial) space for community members who visit St. Luke's Church and Germantown Friends School across the street. This is a team project with Jason Cornelison and June Lin.
Approach
We created the concept "Dynamic Threshold" to highlight the invitation to move through imaginary boundaries of the site. Our goal is to draw people into the site through our physical structure and keep community coming back with our programming. Our project emphasized the values: connection, sharing, inclusion, and community wellness.

Walnut Street Bridge
Overview
The Walnut Street Bridge connects West Philly and Center City across the Schuylkill River, thus being seen and crossed by many pedestrians, bikers, and drivers. For this project, we were challenged to create a structure for the bridge inspired by motion and movement.
Approach
I chose to modeled this project after the motion of a badminton “overhead clear” shot. I created a public structure along each walkway of the bridge that invites people to exercise. When one hits the badminton shuttle hanging from the pole, the banners twist with the bar. The bars also move with the wind, causing the banners to create colorful abstract images. My vision is to switch the banners throughout the year for holidays and advertisements.

Dilworth Park
Overview
Dilworth Park at Philadelphia's City Hall is an iconic gathering spot for both tourists and locals. For this project, we were challenged to activate a space for conversation at Dilworth Park.
Approach
Inspired by the scales of the Asian arowana fish, I created a pavilion that invites people to engage in dialogue with seating and shade. The structure interacts with sunlight as the round, overlapping frames cast shadows organized like fish scales.

Set / Scenic Design
Overview
Throughout my time at the University of Pennsylvania, I have been involved in the performing arts on the technical side. I mainly design sets and have also designed props, costumes, and lights. I have also taken on roles in producing, stage management, and DEIA advocacy. My time in the performing arts has greatly impacted who I am as a creative, a team member, and a leader.

Conceptual Design
Overview
A collection of my exploratory architecture work.
Biomimetic Architecture: inspired by the form of a water lily. This biomimetic structure is a self-sufficient workplace on the water. It collects solar energy with the petals that open up during the day, and the water that surrounds it is used as hydropower.
Kinetic Architecture: a structure that can unfold into various configurations, creating different experiences with space.
